A viral video showing a man urinating on a poor labourer (Dalit Man) in Madhya Pradesh’s Sidhi district has caused widespread shock and indignation on social media. The victim, identified as Pale Kaul, belongs to the Beba tribal community and works as a contractual labourer. The incident, which took place six days ago, has drawn strong demands for severe punishment for the perpetrator.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has ordered the accused, Pravesh Shukla, to be booked under the National Security Act (NSA) and promptly arrested. The local police have also filed an FIR against Shukla under sections 294 and 504 of the IPC, as well as the SC/ST act.
Political leaders, including former Chief Minister Kamal Nath, have condemned the incident and called for an end to atrocities against tribals in Madhya Pradesh. Dalit activists and organizations have joined the chorus of condemnation, emphasizing the need for swift action and societal change.
While investigations are ongoing, allegations have surfaced linking the accused, Pravesh Shukla, to BJP MLA Kedarnath Shukla. These claims will be thoroughly examined as part of the inquiry.
The incident highlights the urgency of addressing discrimination and fostering compassion in society. The public’s demand for justice grows louder as authorities work to ensure a fair investigation and appropriate punishment for the perpetrator.
